Step 1.
In this first step what you want to do is draw two circles, with the smallest on top. This is the guide you will use for the head and the body.Step 2.
Now what you do next is sketch out the rators mouth and neck as shown above.Step 3.
In this step what you will work on is sketching out the arm, eyes, and front facing leg. When you draw the raptors face make sure you create the ferocious look, and make his mouth wide enough to see the teeth that will be drawn later on.
Step 4.
Now what you do is sketch his hands that will also hold his claws and the back of the front facing leg.
Step 5.
Start sketching out the line work for the back leg and finish off the hands and claws. Sketch the definition in the raptors arms as well.
Step 6.
Now the detailing is what the focus will be in this step. You have to start sketching out the detail in the neck, top jaw, stomach and underbelly, and the hind legs.
Step 7.
Sketch his sharp vicious teeth, tongue, and claws. Prepare your sketch for the back part of the velociraptor.
Step 8.
In this step, simple lining is all you need to draw for his long tail. After you complete that, finish the details in the sketch and erase all the guidelines and sketch marks to complete your work.
Step 9.
Your done. The finished sketch should resemble the image above. You can add your own personal touches to the drawing and color it if you wish to do so.
